Tanner Tipping [me], Head Tech and Proprietor of Tech Hound, knew at the age of 12 that technology was his passion. His parents also recognized his aptitude for technology and enrolled him in a tech course at the local library where he was by far the youngest student in the midst of several middle-aged men and women. These courses enhanced his love for this pathway and became the cornerstone of a life-long passion and love for everything tech.
His ambition to soak up anything tech-related fueled him through multiple classes, training sessions, college courses, and careers including his time spent at a Colorado company similar to Tech Hound. During his time here, the owner saw potential in Tanner, trained him on running the place, and got him started on the inside track of running the business. After absorbing everything he could, Tanner was afforded the opportunity to move to the Joplin area to be with his family. With this knowledge of both the fundamentals and the business side of the tech industry, he was prepared to start his own business: Tech Hound. Almost as influential as his love for tech is his love for the second half of the namesake. The 'Hound' half of the name was inspired by his own furry friends. Over the years, Tanner has cultivated his skills by consistently pursuing new technology and reading about what’s new in the industry in order to stay current in the tech scene. It’s what he loves to do and he is dedicated to not only learn about it, but to help educate and assist others when it comes to all things tech. Tanner is extremely excited to offer his services here in Joplin and to help residents and businesses alike embrace the technology that has been his focus for so long. |
As you may have gathered, the "Hound" half of our namesake refers to my Basset Hounds, Fergus and Gracie.
